Leopard Pants

Zara Tee | Urban Outfitters Blazer | Zara Trousers | New Look Flats | Balenciaga Bag
Ray-Ban Sunglasses

So my first ever outfit post with my head. As I've said before, I haven't usually done my hair by the time my partner leaves for work but this particular morning I was up early, so here I am in all my glory. These Zara trousers have been such a good buy - they were cheap and I literally haven't had them off. They're no longer available in stores (they're very old) but I still see them on eBay from time to time.

This week was mainly work but I did have the pleasure of seeing a couple of shows at the L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival which is always fabulous. I also had a really embarrassing moment that I wasn't going to share but I guess it gives you an insight into my life and the things I get up to. Anyway, so as to not crease my skirt on the way into work one morning I decided to place it on the passenger seat and cover my bare legs with my trench so that four-wheel drivers and vans couldn't see down at me in my knickers. This might sound crazy to some of you already, but I drive for over an hour to work, so often, by the time I get there, my trousers/silk skirts can look in good need of an iron. Anyway, I digress. So about 15 minutes from work, someone hits into the back of my car! You can imagine the mad scramble to get my skirt on, but I wasn't fast enough, a couple of moments later the driver is at my window. I had to wind it down to explain I wasn't wearing a skirt and that they needed to wait a second whilst I put it on. At this point I'm not sure who was more shocked/embarrassed/mortified but she didn't ask and I didn't start to explain! Finally I got out of the car (sans shoes - I never drive in those either as it wrecks the backs) to inspect the damage and thankfully there wasn't even a scratch. Lesson learnt: always wear pants/a shirt while driving and invest in some driving shoes! Bizarrely when I told this story to my friends and work colleagues, they weren't that surprised. You see these types of things always seem to happen to me. Does anyone else have the same misfortune?

    1. Thanks! I'm just thankful I had no damage - getting caught in my knickers AND a dent would have been much worse!
