I'm a big advocate for tailoring. Nothing makes cheaper priced clothing look more expensive than having them tailored to your shape. I have a brilliant relationship with my tailor - they know my style, shape and what looks good on me. I recently purchased this Tigerlily jumpsuit on sale, but as you can see in the before picture, the huge palazzo style trousers did no favours for my short legs and made me look stumpy. I loved the material, the top section fit lovely and I knew it would be perfect for summer with a little help from my tailor. So I had them taper the legs and remove some of the volume and now they work for my shape and lengthen my legs.
Wow, what a big difference good tailoring makes! Who do you go to? x
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog! My tailor of 10 years recently retired (a very sad day!) so more recently I've been going to Finest Alterations at South Wharf. They're a franchise (which ordinarily I'd be a little wary of with the exception of hemming) but I've found the tailors to be really good and the prices are very reasonable. They did this alteration and a few before this and I've been really happy with the results. For anything super special I can highly recommend Lizah's in Mordialloc (just off the Main Street near the beach) the shop is nothing special (at all) but the tailors are older ladies who do gorgeous alterations x
ReplyDeleteWOW! It makes so much difference! I love the after! I have recently been doing tailoring myself. I think soon enough I'll make the transition over towards professional tailoring...this post has definitely pushed me in that direction a little faster.

Thank you! You're so lucky you can do it yourself - hemming trousers or a skirt is the best I can do! I would love to be able to do my own alternations, save some money along the way x
DeleteThis is so true! And the tapered legs looks so much better :)

Finding a tailor is something I really need to do, especially when I see the great work they can do! My mom has a great jumpsuit from when I was a baby that would still look amazing now a days. It's something I haven't had the guts to try yet though ;)
ReplyDeleteNurses in Saudi Arabia benefit from competitive tax-free salaries, with typical monthly earnings ranging from $2,500 to $4,000. This range is influenced by factors such as experience, specialization, and the reputation of the healthcare facility. Alongside the base salary, nurses often receive comprehensive benefits, including housing allowances and health insurance. Paid annual leave is standard, and opportunities for overtime provide avenues for increased income. For specialized and highly experienced nurses, salaries may exceed the typical range, reflecting their expertise and contribution to the healthcare system. Working in Saudi Arabia offers not only financial rewards but also a chance to gain international experience in advanced medical facilities, making it an attractive option for many nursing professionals.
